Jim Edmonds Spends Time With Daughter Hayley Amid Meghan King Split: ‘Trying to Repair a Broken Situation’
In the midst of his nasty split from estranged wife Meghan King Edmonds, Jim Edmonds is focusing on what’s most important — his family. The former MLB star took to Instagram on Sunday, November 17, to share a couple of photos from his night out with his daughter Hayley Edmonds, and the daddy-daughter duo looked like they enjoyed a nice, drama-free night.
“I took my first steps outside in a while last night with my beautiful daughter Hayley. Trying to repair a broken situation and heart that should not be broken. For all you people out there that think that I would be with our nanny. You [need] to get a life!. I have a family and kids to worry about and that’s my only worry right now. Everyone else, BYE!” Jim, 49, wrote in his caption.
In the photo, Jim wrapped his around his 22-year-old daughter and they both smiled wide for the camera as they seemed to be in the audience for a concert. The Fox Sports Midwest broadcaster also shared another photo from their night out, and he shared the sweetest message to Hayley in the caption. “Daddy loves his little girl. Thank you for always being by my side,” Jim wrote.
As In Touch previously reported, Jim filed for divorce from Meghan on October 25 after the former Real Housewives of Orange County star accused him of having an affair with their nanny. Both Jim and the nanny have publicly denied having an affair.
But even though Meghan, 35, later admitted she didn’t think anything happened between the nanny and her husband in a blog post, their relationship was still beyond repair. Things escalated between them after Jim called the cops on Meghan on November 6. Meghan had arrived home allegedly drunk after a night out, and Jim feared for the welfare of the couple’s young children — 2-year-old daughter, Aspen, and 1-year-old twin sons, Hart and Hayes — after Meghan allegedly “crashed his car into a cement wall as he tried to pull out of the driveway,” an insider exclusively told In Touch at the time.
“That’s when Jim had had enough, he ended up calling the cops,” the insider continued. After being interviewed by the cops, Meghan was not charged and they were able to determine that she was capable of caring for her kids. Just two days after that incident, Jim moved out and his daughter Hayley is supportive of his breakup from Meghan.
“I’ve been waiting for it. For probably … three years?” she told Us Weekly in October. “I think it’s impossible to be happy with someone so … I don’t know if I would say narcissistic but, she, like, creates her own problems and loves conflict and things like that. The selfishness is miserable for anyone to be around, let alone to be married to her. My whole family has grown closer because we have all had to stay silent in hopes to protect my dad and no one can do it anymore.”
