Jim Edmonds Says He Had ‘the Best Day in a Long Time’ Amid Ex Meghan King’s New Romance
Living in the moment. Jim Edmonds took to his Instagram Story to gush about a special day with his children while his ex Meghan King is away with her new boyfriend Christian Schauf.
“Best day in a long time,” the former professional athlete, 49, wrote on Monday, May 18. On his Story, he shared a bunch of videos of him and the Real Housewives of Orange County alum’s three kids — daughter Aspen, 3, and 23-month-old twin boys Hart and Hayes. In the adorable clips, his boys can be seen running around in their diapers while his daughter played with the family’s vacuum cleaner.
It looks like Jim is holding down the fort while “Meghan and Christian are now in Utah, where he’s from,” a source exclusively told In Touch. “She left the kids with Jim in St. Louis.”
Although Meghan, 35, and the entrepreneur, 39, have only been together “for a few months now,” she is “head over heels in love.” The two linked up after her split from the former MLB player in October 2019. The exes are currently in the process of getting a divorce.
It appears their breakup was for the best, considering the blonde beauty is absolutely smitten with her new man. “They have a lot in common, and they’re both really into each other,” the source shared. Christian seems like the ideal match for Meghan. “He’s very down to earth,” the insider added. “He’s a nice guy and the perfect catch. Yes, this is still pretty new, but Meghan is very happy.”
Luckily for Jim, he has also found love again following their split. The dad has been seeing Kortnie O’Connor since January and they are “moving really fast,” another source exclusively told In Touch. “Jim is obsessed with Kortnie,” the insider said. “He says he’s having a great time and he’s finally happy. They have fun together.”
Meghan previously criticized Jim’s new romance on her podcast, “Intimate Knowledge.” She and Kortnie used to be close friends, but now that her ex-pal is with Jim, it has strained their relationship.
While she may have been salty at first, Meghan has grown to accept their relationship. From her point of view, “If Jim is happy, then their kids are happy,” the source said, “And that’s all that she cares about.”
Now that she decided to keep their drama in the past and move on, “everyone is at peace,” the source said. “For now, anyway.”
