Fans Think Jill Duggar Would Turn Down Derick Dillard’s Proposal If He Were to Ask Today
If you've been keeping up with the Duggars lately, then you know Derick Dillard has been getting himself into hot water recently. The father-of-two — who was fired in August for his transphobic remarks towards Jazz Jennings — has also taken aim at designers Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent, calling their family a "travesty." Most recently, he tweeted hateful messages to the cast of Lost in Transition. As a result, fans are now claiming that his wife, Jill, would most likely turn down his marriage proposal if he were to ask today.
"No, I think even she isn't that dim," someone speculated on reddit. "Imagine having to get intimate with that guy shudders and I'm not talking about his looks either. I think she would think God was giving her a second chance." Another agreed, adding, "I think no, you can still have fundie beliefs and be kind and thoughtful but he is neither."
Plus, it seems like the 26-year-old has been breaking free from Jim Bob's reign these days. Israel and Samuel's mama stepped out in a tank top this week — gasp! — and has even gotten a nose piercing and tattoo. Not to mention, she's rocked pants on several occasions.
In the past, the Duggars have been open about why they dress more conservatively. "We do not dress modestly because we are ashamed of the body God has given us; quite the contrary. We realize that our body is a special gift from God and that He intends for it to be shared only with our future husband," the book Growing Up Duggar states, which Jill co-authored with her sisters. "We avoid low-cut, cleavage-showing, gaping, or bare-shouldered tops; and when needed, we wear an undershirt. We try to make it a habit to always cover the top of our shirt with our hand when we bend over. We don’t want to play the peek-a-boo game with our neckline." Well, so much for that!
Unfortuantely, the TLC alum keeps defending her husband as he continues to attack members of the LGBTQ community. And although some are saying she wouldn't accept his proposal, we (sadly) have to disagree.
