They’re off again! Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard have dedicated their lives to mission work for their church, Cross Church in Arkansas. Even though they just returned home from August 2017 from a two-year mission trip in Central America, they packed up again and headed out on another mission.

According to a photo posted to the Cross Church Instagram account, Jill, her husband, and their youngest son Samuel were all headed to Guadalajara, Mexico on a trip with other members of their church on Saturday, March 17. “Pray with us for our group heading to Guadalajara today!!!” the caption read. Since Jill and Derick’s oldest son Israel was not in the photo, it is assumed that he is not joining his parents on the trip.

In a description for the Guadalajara mission trip on the Cross Church Pure Charity page, it will be a short trip. Jill and Derick will be gone from March 17-March 23 and they will be helping a man named Julio Arriola with planting his new church, Vida Church. Vida launched in September 2017, and Jill and Derick will be helping him with “street evangelism” — which is where the missionaries will take to the streets and preach to passerby in a public space.

It’s particularly strange that Jill and Derick did not announce this mission trip on social media or their family’s blog since they’ve been so open with their missionary work in the past. They’ve also been especially fond of sharing links to GoFund Me pages where fans can donate money to fund their mission trips. This particular trip to Guadalajara cost $1,470 per participant, which means Jill and Derick paid just under $3,000 for their mission trip.

Fans will remember that shortly after Derick was fired from his role on TLC’s reality TV series Counting On, he begged fans for $10,000 so that he could begin the Cross Church School of Ministry program, but he only raised $6,074 of his goal.
