It’s Throwback Thursday, and in honor of the special day, we decided to do a deep dive into Jill Duggar‘s Instagram account (as one does) to dig up one of her old recipes. The former Counting On star — who was given the boot from her family’s show thanks to her crappy husband, Derick Dillard — isn’t exactly known for her cooking these days. Turns out, fans were repulsed by her meals back then, too. Watch the video above to see her concotion and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube Channel.

“Yummy! I love the smell of beans cooking!” she captioned the pic on Nov. 22, 2015. “Grateful to my sweet neighbor for letting me borrow her crockpot! 🙂 Yummy Black Beans.”

Immediately, people began commenting on the snap, with many agreeing it looked like, well, s–t. “Ew! Beans stink!” one hater wrote. Another added, “Sounds bland as hell,” while a third chimed in, “The Dillard home will be stinky tonight!”

Let’s take a look at the ingredients, shall we?

  • 1 onion (diced)
  • Garlic powder
  • 7 cups water
  • 3 cups black beans
  • Cilantro
  • Lime juice
  • Salt

The reality TV exile told users to “wash beans and look for rocks! Add water, beans, onion, and garlic. Cook on low for 8-12 hours or on high for 5-8 hours. Add cilantro, lime juice, and salt. We like to serve over rice with hot sauce and sour cream.”

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to eat anything that makes me pick out rocks beforehand. Not to mention, waiting 12 hours for some mushy beans seems a bit excessive.

Recently, Jill has been #blessing fans with her meals, but people have been less than impressed. In June, the 27-year-old was slammed for not knowing the difference between a quesadilla and a burrito. Jill posted a recipe for her “easy pan-fried bean and cheese burritos,” which were basically just tortillas filled with toppings, folded over, fried in a skillet, and cut into pieces. “Burrito? Even living In Latin America you didn’t learn the difference between a burrito and a quesadilla hahaha, that’s a quesadilla,” laughed one commenter. Ouch.

That said, we should give credit where credit is due. Her mocha heath cloud brownies sounded actually somewhat decent!
