Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and it looks like Jill Duggar is brushing up on her holiday eats! Unfortunately, her latest blog post for Apple Crisp isn’t exactly going over well with fans. In fact, when they first saw a glimpse of the pic, they thought it was potato wedges in gravy. #Awk!

“This simple apple crisp is the perfect way to welcome fall into your home! Our friend’s, the Hackels, gave us this recipe several years ago,” the former Counting On star wrote.

Immediately, people had something to say about her latest concoction, and they weren’t exactly positive. “I feel bad I thought this was potato wedges and gravy ….,” one person wrote, while another added, “I thought this was potato wedges and gravy before I read the caption.”

A third and fourth even schooled the former reality star on how to properly make an apple crisp. “Toss the apples in the cinnamon (and brown sugar) and a little lemon juice. You don’t want the cinnamon just dumped on top. Also, to make it an actual apple crisp, oats should be added to the topping mixture,” one person quipped, while another said, “Where is the ‘crisp’? This is just baked apples.” Ouch!

Of course, by now we know the mother-of-two isn’t exactly renowned for her culinary prowess. Most recently, Jill was slammed for her use of canned ingredients in her chicken spaghetti sauce recipe. That said, at least she gave credit where credit was due this time.

Back in March, Jill shared a stuffed zucchini recipe that was totally plagiarized from allrecipes.com — and fans called her out. “Is this a photo you took of what you made? I found the exact photo and the recipe on a website. Be careful, Jill. Otherwise, it could be plagiarism. Don’t want you to get into trouble,” one person nicely wrote, while another attacked, “Cite your sources, Jill. Not doing so is the primary reason for the criticism here. Come clean.”

Luckily, the TLC alum was quick to point out this one came from her friends. That said, it could use a bit of fine-tuning!
