Fans Think Spurgeon Has Speech Delays After Jessa Duggar’s Latest Video: “Does He Not Talk Yet?”
Young mother Jessa Duggar probably thought she was posting an innocent video of her son, Spurgeon, to Instagram. But, her latest post has created fan concern about the tot. The Counting On star shared with her followers a sweet video of her talking to her son in the car as he played with the controls. Her followers called out one very important detail: he wasn’t talking back.

In the video, Spurgeon stands up and fiddles with the air conditioner in the car. She captioned the post, “Workin’ on some basic drivers ed: ❄️a/c controls, ?hazards, ?eco mode, and ?radio. ?” However, a lot of her fans were writing that his behavior seems delayed for an almost two-year-old. Could her fans be onto something? It’s possible that little Spurgeon has some kind of speech or behavioral delay. But, some fans even went as far to blame Jessa’s parenting for the possible delay. “They clearly baby him,” one commenter wrote. “He had bottles in his mouth which people were confused about on a different picture and when you talk to and treat a child like an infant it can delay their mental growth.”

While another fan thought the toddler was acting perfectly normal. “I studied infant/toddler development and have a early ed degree. This baby isn’t even two yet and there is nothing wrong with how he was behaving.” We hope there’s nothing wrong with Spurgeon!
