‘Counting On’ Star Jessa Duggar Says Little Sis Joy-Anna ‘Hasn’t Found Out’ the Sex of Baby No. 2
It’s a baby girl boom in the Duggar family! But Joy-Anna Duggar doesn’t know if she’ll be included yet. Her sister Jessa Duggar took to social media on June 25, and gave away some details about Joy’s pregnancy in the comments. A fan asked, “Anyone know what Joy is having? Or is she keeping it secret? Your family is so blessed.” Jessa, 26, replied, “She hasn’t found out ☺️.”
The comment was in response to the caption on the Counting On star’s recent post about her baby girl, Ivy Seewald. “Can’t believe she’ll be a month old tomorrow 💜,” Jessa wrote in her Instagram caption. “She brings so much joy to our lives! Looking forward to more baby girls coming this fall! 💜💜💜” She then tagged her sisters-in-law Anna Duggar, Kendra Caldwell, and Lauren Swanson, who are all expecting daughters in the coming months. It, therefore, makes sense that she left Joy out of the caption since the 21-year-old apparently doesn’t know the gender of baby No. 2 yet.
Jessa and her husband, Ben Seewald, welcomed their daughter on May 26. She came into the world weighing 7 pounds, 14 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. They already had two other kids — Spurgeon, 3, and Henry, 2 — who were born weighing nearly 10 pounds and close to 9 pounds. The couple told Us Weekly at the time, “She feels so tiny compared to her siblings! We’re so grateful to God for this precious gift. She is already so loved. Her big brothers adore her!”
Meanwhile, Anna announced she’s having a girl in the fall, too. “This is the 6th gender reveal for our little family and it’s always so exciting!” The 31-year-old captioned the video she shared to reveal the sex of her next baby. “Each child God has given us is unique and special — we all look forward to the arrival of our daughter/sister this fall!”
Then, Lauren, 20, and her husband, Josiah Duggar, announced to Us Weekly on June 25, that baby No. 2 will be a girl. They, unfortunately, lost baby No. 1 after they suffered a miscarriage in October. “We are so grateful that God has blessed us with a sweet baby girl!” the couple told the outlet. “If she only knew how loved she is already and how many people are already praying for her! She truly is a gift … a miracle from God.”
The very same day, Kendra, 20, and her spouse, Joseph Duggar, revealed the second child they’re welcoming soon is also a little girl. They announced the gender to Us Weekly and said, “Parenting has already proven to be more wonderful than we could have dreamed. Even though we come from large families, there is nothing like having your own children. We are so thrilled that a little girl will be joining our family! Garrett is going to be such a great big brother.”
Finally, Joy and her husband, Austin Forsyth, are awaiting the arrival of their second child — and there’s a chance they might have a daughter as well! And are there any unannounced Duggar pregnancies on the horizon? Counting On fans will just have to stay tuned.
