He’s packing up and relocating. After completing a stint in rehab for alcohol abuse and depression, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is ready to make some big life changes. The Jersey Shore star is planning to move from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, as he focuses on becoming the best version of himself.

“I think out in Vegas, I just didn’t have any structure or routine,” Ronnie, 33, tells UsWeekly in a new interview. The MTV alum’s baby mama, Jen Harley, and their daughter, Ariana Sky, currently reside in Nevada and it’s unknown what living situation they will decide on for their 10-month-old. When asked about his current relationship status with Jen, Ronnie hinted that he’s ready to move on from his on-again, off-again girlfriend, and it looks like he’s trying to keep it cordial.

“She’s always going to be the mother of my child, at the end of the day,” the father-of-one said. “All I can do is control myself. I can’t control her, I can’t control my daughter. Well, for right now I can, but not when she gets older.” Ronnie also addressed how he hopes his recent stint in rehab inspires others to seek treatment, noting how much it’s motivated him to change for the better.

“I hope that it encourages a lot of people, whether it’s her or people in my family, or my friends,” Ronnie said. “I don’t want to be this person that’s this angry and resentful and just has so many regrets. I want to be that positive person that people want to be around — joking, laughing and just having a good time and enjoying life.”

Earlier this week, Jen called out Ronnie for canceling their Valentine’s Day plans. “I’m sorry but if you go away for six weeks to become a better boyfriend, father person etc to work on your family, but you choose to cancel all of our plans on Valentine’s Day so you can appear on a dating show [because] you need the money that bad over your family… you’re a joke,” she wrote. Then, on February 14, Jen shared a precious snap with Ariana captioned, “kisses with my Valentine.”
