It’s no secret that Jeremy Vuolo’s past is very, very different than his wife Jinger Duggar’s strict Christian upbringing!
While the former professional soccer player is a born-again Christian who has dedicated himself to his wife and his religion, he definitely had a bad boy streak in his youth! Not only did he attend college and admit to drinking (he was even arrested and charged with harrassing a police officer back in 2008), he also has a tattoo — which is something the Duggars are typically against!

The 29-year-old minister usually keeps his tattoo — featured on his upper right arm —hidden, there have been a few times that it’s been shown on Counting On. While it’s hard to make out what he has inked on his body, many viewers have speculated that it’s a bible verse — considering his dedication to his religion.

Tattoos are just one of many, many items on the list of things the Duggars don’t believe in; they also famously believe in no contact before marriage, they don’t drink alcohol, and they even have all of their dates “chaperoned” before their wedding day.
Jinger has already shown that she’s progressive — as she’s been spotted wearing shorts and she and her husband hugged before their wedding day, which is usually forbidden for the Duggars.

When news of Jeremy’s arrest was first made public by In Touch, Jeremy spoke out and insisted he was a changed man, though he’s never addressed his tat.
“I was part of the college party scene and was living foolishly,” he said in a statement at the time. “I’m not perfect, but I sought out accountability and I now see great victory in my life.”
Surprisingly, Jeremy isn’t the only member of the extended Duggar family with ink!

Infamously rebellious cousin Amy Duggar also has a tattoo that matches her husband, Dillon King. She and her husband both have “resist in the storm” permanently inked on their bodies.
