That was quick! Over the weekend, Teen Mom 2 star Jeremy Calvert and his new girl Desi Kibler went Instagram official with their relationship. Even though Desi claimed that the couple had been dating for a while before going pubic, fans thought that Leah Messer's ex-husband just started dating Desi, which is why the couple got a ton of backlash after Desi hinted that she wanted to get engaged to Jeremy on Twitter.

"Hate leaving Jeremy, makes me appreciate him even more every time I’m with him. #timetostartplanning," she wrote, adding an engagement ring, house, and a family of four emoji. Many fans felt that Desi was hinting that she wanted to move in with Jeremy, get married, and make him a father-of-two — since Jeremy shares four-year-old daughter Adalynn with his ex-wife, Leah. But fans flooded Desi's mentions with their opinions about how they felt they were moving too fast.

"Is this a joke? It’s been less than a month. Giiiiiirl [sic]. Go get some water for that thirst," one fan wrote, while another commented, "16 days and she’s throwing the engagement ring emoji out there…. Looks like another [Amber] Portwood…"

While Jeremy's Teen Mom franchise co-star Amber did move on pretty quickly after her split from her ex Matt Baier — shortly after announcing her new relationship with boyfriend Andrew Glennon, Amber revealed that she is pregnant — it seems like his romance with Desi has been going on for quite some time, at least, according to Desi. She took to Twitter to address the backlash she was getting and she set the record straight.

"I’ll make one statement to all the negativity, and then I’m done. This has been going on longer than any of y’all know, kept it under wraps until we were ready," she wrote. "Thank you to all the positive people congratulating us. Love y’all."
