A fairytale ending! Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are married nearly two decades after the pair became engaged for the first time, a source confirmed to Life & Style.

The “On the Floor” singer, 52, later confirmed her union with the Gone Girl actor, 49, via her newsletter, On the JLo, saying, “We did it.”

“Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient,” the Marry Me star wrote. “Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world.”

The A-list couple, accompanied by her children, “barely made it to the little white wedding chapel,” noting the venue stayed open and allowed them to take pictures in a pink Cadillac convertible.

“So with the best witnesses you could ever imagine, a dress from an old movie and a jacket from Ben’s closet, we read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives,” the sweet note went on. “When love is real, the only thing that matters in marriage is one another and the promise we make to love, care, understand, be patient, loving and good to one another. We had that. And so much more. Best night of our lives.”

Following the news, the Wedding Planner actress shared a photo of her in bed with no makeup on, only showcasing a new wedding ring on her left hand.

Ben and Jennifer made it official nearly three months after he popped the question for the second time in April 2022. J. Lo revealed the news of their engagement at the time by sharing a video of the gorgeous green diamond on her ring finger that Ben proposed with on her Instagram.

“Saturday night while at my favorite place on earth [in the bubble bath], my beautiful love got on one knee and proposed,” she revealed via her onthejlo.com newsletter four days after sharing with the world that she and Ben were engaged.

The couple previously got engaged in November 2002. At that time, Ben selected a 6.1-carat pink diamond for J. Lo, proving he has a track record for seeking out something as unique as she is. For his 2022 proposal, the father of three went green for her engagement ring.

“He hands me a ring and he says it’s a green diamond. [Green is] my favorite color, it’s also my lucky color,” Jennifer said in an accompanying video, adding, “Obviously it’ll be my lucky color forever now. It means so much when somebody thinks about you and loves you and sees you. And it was just the most perfect moment.”

Part of that “perfect moment” was the element of surprise, the singer-actress explained, saying she was “taken totally off guard” by Ben’s romantic proposal.

“She had a feeling Ben would propose but didn’t know when,” an insider told In Touch exclusively at the time. “He completely surprised her.”

The couple were previously set to wed in September 2003 but postponed the wedding due to too much “media scrutiny.” They parted ways in January 2004, calling off the nuptials and their romance entirely. The pair reconnected in late April 2021, just two weeks after Jennifer and then-fiancé Alex Rodriguez broke up.
