Jenelle Evans Says She’s Working With Her Lawyer to ‘Get Kaiser Back’ After CPS Took Her Son

Drastic Measures

Jenelle’s four-year-old son Kaiser was picked up by CPS on May 10. This development came almost two weeks after the reality star’s husband shot and killed her dog, Nugget.

CPS Intervening

Nathan’s mother Doris reportedly received a phone call from CPS regarding the investigation, informing her that she should go pick up Kaiser from daycare.

Not Giving Up

Now, Jenelle is taking action. “During this difficult time, I’m focused on getting Kaiser back and cooperating with my legal team on the next steps to getting my children back,” the reality star tells In Touch exclusively.

Living Situation

As fans may recall, the reality star’s eldest son, Jace, 9, is currently living with her mother, Barbara.

RIP Nugget

It’s been an ongoing battle with Jenelle, as she and her former flame, Nathan, have been going back and forth for years over who deserves custody. In light of recent events, Nathan expressed his utmost concern for Kaiser.

Venting Frustrations

“This is very toxic,” he told Radar on April 30. “This is a serious issue. You don’t shoot a dog.” 

Well-Wishes

Even though they are no longer together romantically, Nathan said he wants to make sure Jenelle is in a safe environment.

Bright Future

“She’s still the mother of my child,” he said. “I want her to have the best. I want Kaiser to have the best life. The only way Kaiser will have the best life is if his mom is in a mentally stable and healthy relationship.”

Fans were blown away when the news about Nugget first surfaced on April 30. It was revealed that a male called 911 to report the jaw-dropping incident.

His Side of the Story

The following day, David released a statement defending his decision to shoot Nugget. “I don’t give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face,” he wrote at the time. 

Firing Back

“Whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog and I don’t put up with that s–t at all,” the former TM2 star added. “I’m all about protecting my family, it is my life’s mission. Some people are worth killing or dying for and my family means that much to me.”

End of an Era

Nearly a week after the ordeal, MTV revealed that they were cutting ties with Jenelle and would no longer be covering her story in the upcoming season. 

Tension at Home

So, what’s going on with Jenelle and David? The reality star said they plan to go to marriage counseling in hopes of repairing their relationship.

Court Ahead

As far as Nathan and Jenelle, she revealed they’ve been chatting and will appear in court soon. “Nathan is to have supervised visits and only supervised by Doris. Surprisingly, me and Nathan have been getting along, so I’m willing to maybe let his visits be unsupervised,” she told UsWeekly. “He doesn’t want Kaiser taken from me.”
