Though she reportedly had her tubes tied in April, Jenelle Evans sparked pregnancy rumors when she stepped out at New York Fashion Week. But as fans speculated about possible baby bump sightings and whether or not the Teen Mom 2 star was expecting baby No. 2 with husband David Eason, the mom of three was quick to shut any theories down. Back in April, Us Weekly reported that Jenelle, 27, underwent a tubal libation surgery due to health reasons. “She’s healing properly and focusing on her business ventures,” a rep told the site.

No New Kids
The star had been dealing with polyps on her uterus and cysts on her ovaries. In addition to the tubal ligation, the mother of three even had one ovary removed entirely.

Supportive Husband
“Got my babe a get well soon gift to encourage her to get back on her feet!” David, 31, wrote on Instagram at the time. “It sucks you had to go through this, but at least we got some answers.”

Despite that, though, fans thought Jenelle might be expecting when the couple was seen out and about during NYFW. “Why do you kinda look pregnant?” one asked. “Besides that, you look gorgeous.”

Insta Comments
Others continued to weigh in. “She’s pregnant. That’s clearly a bump,” wrote one. “I really hope that’s not a baby bump,” added another. “You do not need to bring any more children into this world.”

Call Out
But not everyone agreed with that jump to conclusions. “Why do people act like it’s normal to have three kids and not have a belly sometimes?” one fan wanted to know. “Knowing damn well y’all stomach ain’t flat either …”

While some called the star ~thicc~ and complimented her curvy figure, another joked, “You look great. The only weight you need to lose is about 190 pounds on your left.”

At first, Jenelle did her best to ignore the comments, but eventually she chose not to stay silent. Responding to one comment that insisted her outfit was “NOT a good look,” she wrote back, “Well, I had fun.”

To another that claimed she was just “eating good,” not pregnant, she said, “Exactly, and NYC has the BEST food.” But this isn’t the first time lately the star has had to explain her body.

On September 1, she posted other family photos that had her followers eyeing her belly. “Another baby bump??” one fan asked when they spotted the picture the star shared from a wedding. “Dear lord find another hobby girl!” Another chimed in, “You look at least five months pregnant.”

Some pointed out that her body definitely looked different while others argued about why. “Girl. You NEVER Have a gut. Come oooon,” one wrote, as another added, “Tubal ligations do that. You gain weight.”

It got to the point that the star felt she needed to speak up. In her photo caption, where she’d talked about enjoying family time at a friend’s wedding, she added the note, “Not pregnant, just fat.”

But among all the comments — whether they were hate, compliments or theories about whether she really could be expecting with David after he allegedly killed her dog — one seemed to hit particularly hard.

“Suggestion … Invest in a pair of Spanx,” a fan wrote on one of her photos. So on Sunday, September 8, she took to her Instagram Story to dispel the rumors and prove that she was listening.
