Talk about much ado about nothing! For months, Jenelle Evans has been claiming that she wanted to quit Teen Mom 2, planned to feel out several “offers” from other TV networks, or wouldn’t return without husband David Eason, but as of Aug. 13, she’s reportedly signed a new contract for Season 9 of the hit MTV show.

“Jenelle will likely begin shooting this week,” a source told The Ashley’s Reality Roundup. “MTV is working out the filming schedule with her right now.” The insider says that Jenelle and MTV finally came to an agreement after not filming for a long time. Jenelle’s husband still won’t be a part of the show.

“They are going to film Jenelle with Barbara [Evans] and do a basic catch-up on what’s been happening in Jenelle’s life since she last filmed,” the source continued. And to fill time, they will also show Jenelle’s charity work, and are trying to bring her first baby daddy back.“They are going to be revisiting with Jace’s father Andrew [Lewis] this season. Not sure if he will actually appear but he has been contacted to be part of Jenelle’s storyline this season.”

Jenelle last took to Twitter to complain about the negotiations on Aug. 6. “Have lots of offers from many different people, but you have to turn them down when you’re locked in a contract. #Annoying,” Jenelle tweeted. Some fans weren’t exactly sure what she meant, so they asked for some clarification. “Are you still locked in a contract even with being off the show now? I don’t know how any of this works?” one asked and Jenelle responded: “Unfortunately, yes. Still butting heads.”

It’s actually surprising that Jenelle would back down on the David situation, because she sounded pretty adamant. “He will film the next season or I’m not doing it,” Jenelle said on the July 30 episode. “I have people offering me stuff for Netflix and Amazon right now… I will do my own thing.”

Adding fuel to the rumors, Jenelle’s longtime producer was recently seen filming with her rival Kailyn Lowry via Snapchat, so fans started to believe the mother-of-three had already moved on. On top of that, after Jenelle’s controversial road rage incident aired on July 23, many assumed that could have been the final straw when it came to her future on the show.

So why did Jenelle settle? Well, some fans think she never really had other options. “I doubt there are many offers!” said a hater.
