Jenelle Evans Allegedly Called the Cops on Barbara for “Holding Jace Hostage”

The family feud between Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans and her mother, Barbara Evans, is only heating up!

A new report alleges that the mother-of-three called the cops on Babs after she allegedly held Jenelle’s eldest son, Jace, “hostage” in her home over Mother’s Day weekend. We previously heard the reality star say she did not get to spend the holiday with Jace, which understandably upset her.

“We received a call that there was concern about the welfare of the children in the home. For whatever reason the grandmother did not want to honor that visitation schedule,” Brad Shirley, the Boiling Springs Lake Chief told Radar Online, adding that it was “an estranged time for visitation with Jenelle’s son.”

“We made contact with Grandma immediately and determined this was a civil matter and that the concerns needed to be taken to the judge. This was nothing law enforcement needs to get involved with, it was a custody dispute,” he continued.

Barbara defended herself by saying Jace did not want to go with his mother and that Babs “did not want to let Jace see her.”

“I told Jace and another grandchild to just hide in the house. She came over and banged on my garage and windows for a full hour. She was going ballistic. I thought ‘Jesus Christ, she’s going to break my windows.’ The kids were hiding in the bedroom petrified,” she told the publication.

She also alleged that Jenelle told cops that her mother “has a mental illness.”

While their relationship still may be strained, Jenelle did celebrate a big win in their custody battle in May. While Babs will still act as Jace’s primary custodian, Jenelle will get to spend time with him on weekends, holidays, and during the summer months.

“I’m really happy we could come to a decision for Jace but it doesn’t change my feelings towards my mom. She still isn’t giving up my son to me but I will fight again in the future when the time is right,” the star said of the ruling. “I’m happy but devastated at the same time that I didn’t take it to trial. But in the world of Jenelle, you learn to pick and choose your battles.”
