Mixed messages. Hours before Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s arrest for felony domestic violence, on-again-off again-girlfriend, Jen Harley, posted a video of herself wearing new jewelry for National Boyfriend Day.

While out for a ride on Rodeo Drive, the 31-year-old showed the camera her new silver necklace. “For National Boyfriend day I got some new bling #nationalboyfriendday,” she captioned the video shared on Thursday, October 3. Soon after the video was posted, police responded to a domestic battery call in the early hours of October 4, In Touch confirmed. Officers had to use a taser and there was a child on the premises. Police were able to confirm that the child was “not harmed.”

“He hasn’t officially been booked but I can tell you that officers responded to a battery in progress in the 7200 block of Woodrow Wilson Drive at around 2:40 a.m. Suspect and victim were involved in some kind of physical altercation. When officers on location, the suspect was uncooperative. Officers had to use a taser so there was minor use of force that occurred,” LAPD told In Touch at the time.

Ronnie, 33, and Jen have become infamous for their turbulent relationship that has found both parties behind bars at one point or another. It is unclear who gifted Jen her new necklace as the two reported split in early September after Jen took to social media to expose Ron for cheating. Their last run-in with domestic violence took place back in December when the two got into an “explosive” argument where Jen threw an ashtray at Ronnie’s head. In Touch confirmed that the couple was fighting over their on-going issues while celebrating New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas.

“Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim had an argument with her boyfriend at a club prior to her getting home,” the police department stated at the time. “Officers observed that several items in the home were damaged including a television and picture frames. Officers could not locate any forced entry and it is unknown if the victim’s boyfriend is the suspect. This case remains under investigation.”

Five months later, Jen was arrested for domestic battery, which, according to the Las Vegas Justice Court, has since been dismissed. Despite the altercation that took place, they spent the summer together as a family and were spotted on several beach vacations until their last separation. Will these two ever work it?
