We hope you’re ready to be disappointed.

JAY-Z dropped a lot of killer lines on his new album, 4:44 — but the one that keeps popping up comparing his wife, Beyoncé to a “queen” and “not a Kardashian” isn’t one of them.

Yes. Even though Hov came for Kanye West on his new album — calling his former bestie “insane” — he respectfully left Ye’s wife and her sisters out of it (and rightfully so).

While we’re unsure of the exact origin of the hoax lyric, many are attributing its virality to a Twitter user, @Voxmaus, who tweeted the faux lyrics around the time the album dropped on Tidal. It was shortly thereafter that it began to appear in articles about the new album, even though it was impossible that any of the writers actually heard the would-be shady lyric with his/her own two ears.

Because the album was initially only available to Tidal subscribers, a lot of people were getting first impressions of the album (including, of course, lyrics) from people who do subscribe to the streaming music service — which meant there was a lot of confusion about what the album was really like.

After news outlets picked it up — and popular accounts retweeted it — there was no stopping the anti-Kardashian tweet — even though it was totally false.

If you’re disappointed to learn that the lyric isn’t real, we have some good news — there are plenty of celebrities that Jay did name drop on his latest masterpiece.

In “Kill Jay Z,” he name drops his sister-in-law Solange, saying, “You egged Solange on/Knowin’ all along/All you had to say you was wrong.” In the same song, he goes for Future (and the rapper’s ex Ciara’s relationship with Russell Wilson), spitting, “In the Future, other n—-a playing football with your son.”

In “Family Feud,” he makes reference to not only Family Feud’s current host, Steve Harvey, but also mentions the infamous “Becky” (aka the woman who he allegedly cheated on Beyoncé with) before going in for the kill with “Pill Cosby.”

Some other names he dropped include Diddy, Denzel Washington, Lauryn Hill, Al Sharpton, Biggie Smalls, and Tupac… But absolutely no Kardashians. Maybe next time, haters.
