Not so fast. Teen Mom 2 star Javi Marroquin spoke exclusively with In Touch about ex-wife Kailyn Lowry’s recent claims that the show is badly edited. According to father-of-one — who shares son Lincoln, 3, with Kail, 25 — his former spouse has total control of her story.

“This is our story. I don’t know how editing is so bad when no one is forcing us to say the things we do,” Javi — who is set to appear on WE tv’s upcoming season of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars with Kailyn — tells In Touch. “We control our story, so I never understand that. Yes, they may cut some things out, but we should be cognizant about what we say knowing they may cut some things out.”

As previously reported, Kailyn lashed out at MTV via Twitter on July 31, accusing the network of rearranging the sequence of moments in her life to fit their storyline. “They did that several times on tonight’s episodes,” the Pride Over Pity author wrote. She also said that she “lost [her] mind” after producers allegedly “provoked” her son Isaac, 7 — whom she shares with ex Jo Rivera — to cry on camera.

That same night, Kailyn’s co-star Chelsea Houska also slammed MTV for what she believed to be an unfair edit. As TM2 viewers witnessed, Chelsea expressed concern about her daughter, Aubree, 7 — from her relationship with Adam Lind — and her jealous attitude toward little brother, Watson, whom the 25-year-old welcomed with husband Cole DeBoer in January. It appeared as though Chelsea felt that Aubree’s envy was “taking away from Cole’s experience” as a new dad, but she explained on Twitter that the convo didn’t go down like that.

“Just a little something that irked me about the show tonight. Theres a part where I say, ‘I feel like it’s taking away from Cole’s experience,'” she wrote. “And that was taken out of context from a different convo and added in that scene for some reason.”
