This season of OutDaughtered has largely centered around Adam Busby and his battle with postpartum depression (PPD). On tonight’s episode, fans watched the father-of-six meet with Jarrid Wilson — a Nashville-based pastor Adam connected with online, who went through a similar experience.

“It feels like I’m juggling 10 million balls,” confessed Adam, who shares 6-year-old daughter Blayke, as well as the 2-year-old quints, with his wife Danielle. “Since the babies, it’s just been constant — just figuring things out as we go.” He revealed that he often has “bad days,” which result in him getting “super quiet.” The reality star continued, “That’s just how I deal with it. I just kind of want to back away, and I feel like that’s what I’ve been doing.”

Initially, Danielle was hesitant to make the trip from their home in Houston, TX to Tennessee, but she knew it was in the best interest of her husband, and thus her family as well. And after meeting with Jarrid — and his wife, Juli — the Busbys agreed they made the right decision. While the episode aired, Adam tweeted, “Went to Nashville to meet Jarrid and Juli and came home with lifelong friends. We cherish their friendship.” So sweet!

According to his website, Jarrid is a “husband, dad, pastor, author and inspirational blogger. His articles have been viewed by tens-of-millions, showcased on some of today’s hottest talk shows, and featured on national news stations worldwide. He is a dynamic speaker whose outside-the-box perspectives have gained him national recognition from some of today’s most influential Christian leaders and pastors.” The busy man — who can now add reality star to his long list of jobs! — boasts nearly a quarter million followers on Facebook and is known for his “highly unconventional way of sharing faith.”

Fans have been wondering what church Jarrid belongs to, and his LinkedIn profile states that he was a pastor at LifePoint Church, however, he hasn’t worked there for the past two and a half years. These days, he and Juli are running their nonprofit, Anthem of Hope, full-time. The organization is “dedicated to illuminating hope for those battling brokenness, depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicide and addiction” and focuses on four key areas: awareness, community, resources, and support. Amazing!

Jarrid also has a new book out called, Love Is Oxygen: How God Can Give You Life and Change Your World, with love being the “thing everyone talks about but very few will ever truly put into action.” Amen! We’re so happy to hear Adam is on his way to recovery — and that he met someone like Jarrid to help him on his journey!
