While Katie Holmes was home watching the Oscars with daughter Suri in NYC, boyfriend Jamie Foxx was in LA for all the action – and In Touch has learned that he was acting like a single man.

In Touch obtained exclusive photos from an eyewitness who was at an Oscar Gala on March 4, showing the actor getting cozy with a mystery brunette before leaving with her.

“He put his arm around her waist and whispered something in her ear,” says the eyewitness, adding that the pair seemed keenly aware of the attention they were drawing.

“She broke away and walked ahead of him to avoid the people who were watching and then waited for him at the top of the stairs,” the eyewitness explains to In Touch, as seen in the second photo.

Jamie, 50, and his entourage eventually met up with her, and “she got into an elevator with Jamie,” says the eyewitness.
