Former ‘Little People, Big World’ Star Jacob Roloff Shares Baby Pictures With a Political Message
He's not backing down. Former Little People, Big World star Jacob Roloff is known for his liberal political beliefs, and he recently got a ton of backlash from fans of his family's TLC reality TV show after he shared a series of photos on his Instagram story in protest of America and President Donald Trump on the Fourth of July. But now, Jacob is doubling down on his views and he shared a series of adorable throwback baby photos of himself to make a very strong political statement. Jacob has always sort of been the black sheep of the Roloff family ever since he turned his back on his family's hit TLC series and refused to film for the show once he turned 18 years old. Since then, Jacob has continued to tell his story his own way via social media. That includes sharing his personal opinions and views, and his recent Fourth of July post really stirred up controversy. So much controversy that his mother, Amy Roloff, came under fire.
Jacob had allegedly took to his Instagram story on the Fourth of July to share a photo of the American flag with what seemed to be both of his feet, stepping on the flag, according to multiple fans. Many of them were so outraged, they immediately took to his mom's Instagram to demand that she take action.
"You might want to teach your youngest son it's very disrespectful to step on a flag and post a picture of. It's very disrespectful," one user wrote, and another commented, "I'm all for people having different views, but stepping on the flag and telling the president to 'f–k off' is disgusting."
Amy did not respond to any of the fan comments about her son's political views, but Jacob definitely did not back down on his page. A few angry followers continued to bash him in his comments for his political views — specifically his opposition to the separation of families at the United States-Mexico border — but Jacob hit back. "Your bio says family is everything yet you’re offended I am posting about the reunification of immigrant families… hmm," the 21-year-old wrote, and his response to another comment was simply, "#f–ktrump."
Jacob is very outspoken on his political views on Twitter, so it isn't so surprising that he would take a political stand on Instagram as well. He is also known to clash with his family's views on religion as well — since he denounces his family's Christian faith.
