It hasn’t been a good few weeks for country music marriages.

Country singer Jake Owen has become the latest singer to return to bachelorhood after announcing his divorce from wife of three years, Lacey Buchanan.

“This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life,” Jake wrote on his Twitter page. “We appreciate your support and privacy in this matter.”

The couple, who wed in 2012, originally met on the set for Jake’s “Eight Second Ride” music video.

The 33-year-old included a statement in his tweet, explaining the couple hope to focus on raising their two-year-old daughter, Pearl.

“We appreciate you respecting our privacy during this time, said the statement.
