She knew he was trouble? Fans are convinced Taylor Swift referred to her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris in her new song “I Forgot That You Existed.” The pop star dropped her album Lover on Friday, August 23, and the lyrics to the tune seemingly shade the DJ.

In the song, the 29-year-old sings, “How many days did I spend thinking / ‘Bout how you did me wrong, wrong, wrong? / Lived in the shade you were throwing / ‘Till all of my sunshine was gone, gone, gone / And I couldn’t get away from ya / In my feelings more than Drake, so yeah / Your name on my lips / Tongue-tied / Free rent, living in my mind.”

“I forgot that you existed / And I thought that it would kill me, but it didn’t / And it was so nice / So peaceful and quiet / I forgot that you existed / It isn’t love, it isn’t hate, it’s just indifference / I forgot that you,” she sings in the chorus.

Of course, Swifties immediately took to Twitter to decode the lyrics. One person wrote, “She literally didn’t write one song about Calvin, and then went, ya know what? I’ll give you one and named it ‘I Forgot That You Existed,’” while a second person echoed, “Why do I feel like ‘I Forgot That You Existed’ is about Calvin Harris?” A third person chimed in, writing, “Apparently, ‘I Forgot That You Existed’ is about Calvin Harris and was supposed to be on Reputation, but it didn’t make the cut because she wrote it late … because ya know … she forgot that he existed. #Lover.”

The former flames dated for 15 months before they split in 2015. At first, their breakup was amicable, but things quickly escalated shortly afterward. The track mentions “lived in the shade,” which is something Calvin, 35, did a lot after their relationship. Just weeks after their split, Calvin unfollowed Taylor on Instagram and deleted every single picture of her from his Instagram page. He then started leaving comments about her on social media. “I didn’t leave anyone, and she’s definitely not sad,” he wrote, referring to her romance with Tom Hiddleston. “It’s all good.”

In another line, she sings, “Got out some popcorn as soon as my rep started going down, down, down,” seemingly referring to the fallout after Taylor confirmed that she’d written Calvin’s hit song “This Is What You Came For” under a pseudonym.

However, Calvin defended himself on Twitter at the time. “I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it, and cut the vocals through,” he said. “And initially she wanted to keep it secret, hence the pseudonym. Hurtful to me at this point that [she] and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage, though. I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship, you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex-BF down for something to do. I know you’re off tour, and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy [Perry] etc., but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.”

But some followers think that the blonde beauty is referring to her nemesis Kim Kardashian. “’I FORGOT THAT YOU EXISTED’ mmmm hello KANYE AND KIM, HOW ARE YOU HONEY?” while another person chimed in writing, “’I Forgot That You Existed’ is about Kanye West! The shade! I love her!”
