For the past three months, OutDaughtered fans have laughed, cried, and celebrated milestones with the Busby family, but with no confirmation of a fourth season in the works, many are wondering if tonight’s season finale was also the series finale. While the episode aired, fans took to social media to express their concerns. One dedicated superfan wrote, “You guys have the BEST show ever. Every day is a countdown to Tuesday thinking — ‘OutDaughtered is on.’ It makes me smile and laugh. I wish it was on all day every day; no breaks from it. I can survive just watching that for the rest of my life.” Another added, “Praying for another season!” Yet one person, in particular, managed to get a response from Adam. When they asked if the fam would be returning to TLC, he tweeted back, “We love sharing our family with you all. We will see!” Ugh!

Although OutDaughtered has yet to be renewed by the network, there’s nothing about the third season’s performance that suggests TLC would suddenly drop them, either. Notorious for their successful string of large family shows — Counting On, 7 Little Johnstons, Meet the Putnams, etc. — and with about 1.3 million people tuning in every week, odds are, you’ll be seeing them again soon. In fact, it may be as early as February 2018. Given the show’s history — it first premiered with a short, four-episode season in May 2016, the second premiered in fall 2016, and the third installment aired in July — meaning if a similar pattern continues, their chaotic brood will be back before you know it!

The Busby family had encountered several setbacks this year — Adam’s postpartum depression, Hurricane Harvey, and Danielle’s desire to get back into the workforce, but whether they’re sharing their lives on their reality show or on their own social media accounts, they’re not afraid to be honest, and that’s what fans love. Here’s to hoping we see them again on Tuesday nights very soon!
