She’s turning lemons into lemonade. After being fired as a Today Show host for defending blackface, Megyn Kelly is reportedly heading to another morning show.

According to Radar Online, the 47-year-old is in talks to join The View. “They want her as a full-time host. Execs are very hot on the idea,” a source revealed to the outlet. “They think she would be able to keep up with [co-host] Whoopi Goldberg and keep her in check. They think it would be blockbuster to have her.”

At this time, a rep for ABC has denied all claims of Kelly filling the show’s open seat. However, Radar’s well-placed source has insisted that while discussions with Kelly’s team are in the very early stages, they are indeed happening.

Question is, how will the fans of the famed series react to Megyn joining the cast? After all, it was just last week that the mother-of-three started a major controversy over her racist comments.

During an on-air discussion about why some universities ban Halloween costumes that are considered racist or culturally insensitive, Megyn, at the time, didn’t seem to understand the problem. “But what is racist?” she asked the panel. “You do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface for Halloween, or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween… when I was a kid, that was OK as long as you were dressing up as a character.”

Megyn later issued a lengthy statement apologizing for her insensitivity. “One of the wonderful things about my job is that I get the chance to express and hear a lot of opinions,” she began in an email obtained by Us Weekly. “Today is one of those days where listening carefully to other points of view, including from friends and colleagues, is leading me to rethink my own views,” Megyn continued.  She went on to admit that her behavior was wrong and that she now understands why the “history of blackface is abhorrent.”

Megyn concluded her apology note with an overall message about today’s society: “This is a time for more understanding, love, sensitivity, and honor, and I want to be part of that. I look forward to continuing that discussion. I’m honored to work with all of you every day.”

Well, here’s hoping that The View will allow her to be part of that because Fox News — where Megyn worked for 13 years —  has no interest in bringing her back to their lineup.

‘I’m a big fan of Megyn’s. We didn’t want her to leave Fox,’ CEO Lachlan Murdoch said of his former co-worker at The New York Times’ DealBook conference. “I’m very happy with our current lineup on Fox News and we won’t be making any changes there,” he added.
