Laura Dern Clears Up Those Bradley Cooper Dating Rumors: ‘We’re Amazing Friends’

Nothing to see here, folks! Laura Dern got candid about her relationship with Bradley Cooper, and it looks like the Hollywood A-listers are just buddies. “We’re amazing friends. We’re so lucky. And we’re family,” the 52-year-old told Us Weekly at L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade culinary event in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 14 — two months after photos surfaced of the duo eating lunch in New York City together.

Of course, the Big Little Lies star understands why fans are so invested in the 44-year-old’s love life. “I mean, everybody’s always gonna comment about whatever seems intriguing, and he’s the greatest human and one of my best friends in the world,” she said. “So, I don’t blame anyone for having deep curiosity about his life because he’s spectacular.”

The photos of the blonde beauty and The Hangover star surfaced just a couple weeks after news broke that Bradley and his then-girlfriend, Irina Shayk, had split. In Touch previously reported that Bradley and Irina — who share their 2-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper — had been “on the verge of splitting for months.” They both “tried to make it work for the sake of their daughter,” but they “both have busy lives and careers which has made the process very long and drawn out,” an insider revealed.

These days, Irina, 33, and Bradley have been keeping busy — the actor was spotted spending the day with his little girl at Disneyland in August while the Russian native walked the runway at the Oscar de la Renta show in NYC on September 10.

Even though the model and Bradley didn’t work out, Irina admitted she still hopes to find love one day. “Do I believe in marriage?” she asked during an interview with Harper’s BAZAAR which was published in July. “Yes, of course. I’m not the kind of person who is against it.”

Hopefully, Bradley has been leaning on Laura during this time in his life. That’s what friends are for, right?
