’90 Day Fiancé’ Star Karine Is Pregnant — But She Doesn’t Want To Raise The Baby With Paul
After months of speculation, 90 Day Fiancé stars Paul Staehle and Karine Martins finally confirmed that Karine is pregnant and she is expecting baby No. 1 with her husband Paul. But even though it should be an exciting time for the couple, it’s not exactly the best timing because the couple had been separated for several days and talked about getting a divorce before the pregnancy reveal — and now Karine isn’t sure if she wants to stay with Paul and raise their child together.
“I haven’t heard from Karine in several days because she wants us to get a divorce,” Paul, 35, said in his confessional. “But I just got a text message telling me she’s at the clinic with her mother. I’m extremely nervous right now. This is not what I expected. I never saw this coming because Karine is telling me she might be pregnant.”

Karine, 21, explained that she had taken a home pregnancy test and it came out positive, so she went to the clinic with her mother Gracilene to confirm that the results were accurate. Even though she was still mad at Paul after their fight, she still called him so he could be there because she felt it was the right thing to do.
But Karine wasn’t the only person in the room who was unhappy to see Paul — Gracilene wasn’t thrilled either. The last time she spoke to Paul, she called him a “smart a–” and she threatened to keep Karine away from him and do everything in her power to convince her daughter to divorce him, which made things super awkward for everyone involved.
Once inside the doctor’s office, Karine revealed that she has only been experiencing nausea as a pregnancy symptom. The doctor told Karine that there is a possibility that she could be pregnant, and she ordered a blood test to confirm it. But since Paul does not speak Portuguese and Karine and her mom do not speak English, he had to use his translator app to ask the doctor what was going on — and the doctor replied via the app. Once the blood test was taken, Paul, Karine, and Gracilene had to wait two hours before getting the test results.

But even with a baby on the way, it didn’t change Gracilene’s mind about Paul. “I think she can leave him even if she is pregnant because kids don’t secure a marriage,” she said in her confessional, and it seemed like her daughter agreed.
While they waited, Paul asked Karine if she cared if he left to go back to the United States or not, and Karine she just looked at him and shrugged her shoulders. When the two hours was up, Karine called her doctor for the results and it came positive. The test confirmed that Karine was pregnant, and she was about four or five weeks along at the time.
“I’m surprised, I still can’t believe it. Paul and I have a lot of problems in the relationship and now a child is coming and I don’t know if I want to be with Paul,” she said in her confessional.
Even though the couple just confirmed the news about their pregnancy on last night’s episode, fans have been speculating that Karine had a bun in the oven for months after a photo of what looks like a baby bump surfaced online three months ago. It certainly doesn’t help that it seems like Paul and Karine have been trying their best to conceal her baby bump on recent photos on social media.
