Inside ‘Office Romance’ Costars Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein’s ‘Flirt Fest’ on Set

Lights, camera, attraction? Jennifer Lopez is having a blast filming Office Romance with Brett Goldstein, an insider exclusively tells In Touch — so much so that the costars’ “obvious chemistry” is a big talking point amongst the cast and crew.

“They’re both professional and ready to deliver their lines when the cameras are rolling, but in between, it’s a flirt fest,” says the insider. “Brett fawns all over Jennifer, and she’s absolutely loving the attention. He is so adoring, which is exactly what she needs right now.”

J. Lo’s work on the upcoming Netflix romantic comedy comes three months after she finalized her divorce from Ben Affleck after two years of marriage. The “Let’s Get Loud” hitmaker, 55, filed for dissolution of marriage on August 20, 2024 — the second anniversary of their second wedding ceremony in Georgia — and listed their date of separation as April 26, 2024.

Three months before her filing, a source exclusively told In Touch that the former couple were “headed for a divorce” and that Ben, 52, had already moved out of their $60 million Beverly Hills home.

While J. Lo told Interview magazine that she doesn’t regret their romance, “that doesn’t mean it didn’t almost take me out for good,” she confessed in October 2024.

In Touch’s insider confirms, “The split left her confidence pretty shot.” But Brett, 44, seems to be helping J. Lo get it back.

“She’s much happier now. Everyone has noticed the change. There’s a new carefree energy about her,” says the source, noting that it’s not yet clear whether this is just a harmless flirtation or could turn into something more. “No one would be surprised, though, if Jennifer had romantic designs on Brett.”

While J. Lo opened up about her heartbreak amid her split from Ben last year, the Good Will Hunting star finally broke his silence about their breakup in a March interview with GQ. He said that he has “nothing but respect” for his ex-wife and discussed what led to their divorce.

“There’s a tendency to look at breakups and want to identify root causes or something. But honestly … the truth is much more quotidian than probably people would believe or would be interesting,” he explained. “There’s no scandal, no soap opera, no intrigue. The truth is, when you talk to somebody, ‘Hey, what happened?’ Well, there is no, ‘This is what happened.’ It’s just a story about people trying to figure out their lives and relationships in ways that we all sort of normally do.”

Now that their divorce is finalized, sources have shared that both Ben and J. Lo are ready to date again. An insider exclusively told In Touch on March 21 that the Hustlers actress is preparing to open her heart to love again, but she’s “being very careful about what she wants in a relationship.”

“She’s the first one to tell you that she falls in love too quickly. She goes in hard, with an open and trusting heart, but she says she can’t count on her heart anymore,” the source shared. “She’s trying to make sure her next relationship is ego-free, on her part too, and that it comes from a place of honesty, and integrity. And more importantly, she says she needs to trust her instincts. She’s no longer going to ignore the red flags.”
