Updated — Oct. 9, 2:00 PM EST
After multiple tweets from Amanda Bynes, In Touch Weekly is sharing a photo of their reporter, pictured above with Amanda, and addressing her comments with the following statement:
“After identifying themselves, two of our reporters spent the afternoon with Amanda Bynes on Sunday, Oct. 5. She was aware that they were from Bauer. At one point, she even discussed writing a column for the magazine. Every word of our account is accurate and we hope that Amanda gets the help that she needs.”

The new issue of In Touch Weekly gives a glimpse inside the troubled life of Amanda Bynes following her latest DUI arrest, with details of the concerning behavior Amanda displayed on Oct. 5 in NYC — her day spent with In Touch reporters.
The most disconcerting of her erratic behavior was when Amanda told In Touch’s reporters she believes she has a microchip in her head. “I want a dollar a day from every person who [is] reading my mind,” she told the reporters.

Amanda also insisted to In Touch that she needs a nose job after recently getting cysts removed from her face. “I look so hideous,” the beautiful star lamented to the reporters. “Everyone can use a little plastic surgery.”
While many of her ramblings throughout the day made little sense, Amanda made one thing perfectly clear: She wants nothing to do with her parents, Rick and Lynn. “I was miserable living with them,” she says. “I would have rather been in jail.”
