It seemed like Blac Chyna pretty much just exploded onto the scene around the same time that Kylie Jenner started dating her ex, Tyga. But if you didn't know, Chyna had actually snuck into the public consciousness way before that — you just didn't realize. So where did Chyna pop up on her way to scoring real fame? Well, all over the hip hop world.

Before Blac Chyna and Rob…

There was Dimepiece magazine cover model Blac Chyna. You can check out her cover on Amazon where she flaunts her signature big booty — it was her first cover! After that, she was featured in Straight Stuntin' Magazine and Black Men's magazine. You may not have picked up a copy yourself, but even seven years ago Chyna was already out there on newsstands.

Drake and Blac Chyna

In "Miss Me," Drake raps the lyrics, "Call up King of Diamonds and tell Chyna it'd be worth the flight." King of Diamonds is the name of the Gentleman's Club in Miami where Chyna used to work. She was a favorite among hip-hop stars and rappers — but she didn't expect Drake to name drop her like that. "When I first found out about [the song], my manager, she actually emailed me the song… She was like, 'Drake mentioned you in a song,' and I was like… 'Are you kidding me? Stop playing,'" she shared in an interview.

Blac Chyna and Nicki Minaj

After her shout out from Drake, Chyna partnered up with Nicki Minaj. The two have such similar booties that Chyna acted as Nicki's body double in a music video — she filled in on "Monster," Nicki's collab with Kanye West, JAY-Z, and Rick Ross. "That day, it was so crazy 'cause Nicki Minaj wasn't there yet," Chyna said. "It was kind of scary there in the beginning for me, because they had to tie me up and put a bag over my face. Now mind you, I don't know none of these men, I don't know the director, the cast, nobody. And they had to tie me up to where I couldn't even move and put a bag over my head." But then Nicki showed up, and the vibe totally changed. "Nicki Minaj actually kind of [got] on me and [gave] me this little show, so that was kind of interesting and fun. A little lap dance."

Tyga and Blac Chyna

One music video lead to another, one hip-hop shout out lead to another, and soon enough Chyna was starring in Tyga's "Rack City" music video as his girlfriend. The pair actually met at King of Diamonds — the same club that Drake gave a shout out to when he mentioned Chyna on "Miss Me." And it wasn't long after that that they started dating. Though Chyna later called Tyga "cheap" in an interview and claimed he only paid her $2,500, he also asked her to go on tour with him — which she turned down.

2 Chainz Shout Out

By now, Chyna was starting to get used to the fame game. After all, she'd already claimed the Model of the Year title at the Urban Model Awards. But being Tyga's girlfriend and the mother of his kid brought its own kind of notoriety. "Tell Tyga, lookin' for this b—h called Blac Chyna," Nicki Minaj rapped on the 2 Chainz track "I Luv Dem Strippers". We're starting to sense a Nicki-Chyna connection — maybe being body doubles bonded the women for life.

Amanda Bynes Name Drop

We talked to Amanda Bynes about her new dermal piercings back in 2013. During our interview, she mentioned they were actually an homage to the star. "I wanted to look like [exotic dancer] Blac Chyna," she explained. We could definitely see the resemblance.

Blac Chyna and Kylie

It wasn't long after that when Kylie and Tyga, Blac Chyna's ex, started seeing each other. With that, came an even bigger spotlight for the 29-year-old. After all, it definitely didn't help that Ky and Ty seemed to get together within a month of his breakup with Chyna, no matter how much the rapper denied romance rumors with the then-seventeen year old. From there, Chyna's blossomed into the super star we know today — and you have to admit, she is pretty bada–, at least when it comes to a scathing comeback. Anyone else remember that slapping Chymoji? We'll never forget it.
