Looks like that breakup didn’t last long! The same day news broke that Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her fiancé, Ken, had called off their engagement, the family reveals that it’s back on. Though the couple has decided to keep their relationship private, Gypsy’s step-mom, Kristy Blanchard, exclusively confirmed to In Touch that the two had reunited. Though she didn’t reveal what had caused the rift, she did share that the January wedding the couple planned is back on.

“They are back together,” Kristy exclusively told In Touch. “[The] engagement is on, but [they are] taking things slow and want to keep their relationship as private as possible.” The mother of three revealed that, “for now,” Gypsy, 28, and her fiancé have postponed plans to tie the knot once the new year rolls around in 2020. “But things can change,” she admitted. “And if it changes, … the rest will be kept private until they are ready for people to know. … [They] are keeping their personal lives personal from here on out.”

In July, family friend Fancy Macelli, who is chronicling Gypsy’s life with her mother in a TV show called By Proxy, shared the couple’s plans with In Touch. “They’re planning to get married in January in prison,” she said. “They’re allowed about six people. So yes, her parents could be there, his parents could be there, and maybe two other people. … [But] we’re not even sure she gets to wear a dress.”

Though the family expressed concerns about how quickly Gypsy and Ken are moving, they’re ultimately supportive of their daughter. And they do like her fiancé, Ken. “The first meeting was the meeting that the pictures have been released from,” Fancy said in July. “It was a weekend in May. … [Kristy, Rod and Ken] spent one weekend together. They met him at the prison with her. They talked over her father’s gumbo, and then, after so many hours of being at the prison, they went back to the hotel and spent some extra time with him there.”
