The friendliest of exes! Gwyneth Paltrow and her ex-husband, Coldplay rocker Chris Martin, have been consciously uncoupled for about five years and it seems like they’re closer than ever even after their divorce. The Goop founder took to Instagram on Saturday, March 2, to share a sweet birthday tribute to the father of her children.

“Happy Birthday CAJM. This is a special one. We love you so much. #42,” the 46-year-old wrote in her caption. The former couple seemed to be smiling wide in the pic, and fans flooded the comments gushing over Gwyn and Chris’ sweet bond.

“Your blended family is straight up #goals!,” one fan commented, and another wrote, “It’s amazing how you two get along!”

The Iron Man actress famously announced her split from Chris in a newsletter on her Goop lifestyle website in 2014, where she coined the term “conscious uncoupling.” “It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate,” the statement read. “We have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate. We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways, we are closer than we have ever been.”

Since then, the couple has coparented their two children — Apple, 14, and Moses, 12 — since their split and their subsequent divorce. They’ve even managed to remain close even after they’ve both moved on with other people. Since their split, Chris has been linked to actresses Dakota Johnson, Jennifer Lawrence and Annabelle Wallis.

Gwyn went on to remarry. She tied the knot with her current husband, Brad Falchuk, on September 29, 2018, in a surprise wedding ceremony in East Hampton, New York. In an interview with the WSJ Magazine in December 2018, Gwyn gushed about married life with her second husband.

“It’s fantastic. I feel like we are probably better equipped to choose our life partner when we are halfway through life,” she said. “For me, it has been more of a process, and so I feel really lucky to have met this person who is an incredible, true partner.”
