Is it weird to hang out with your ex-husband and his girlfriend? According to Gwyneth Paltrow, nope! The blonde beauty and her ex Chris Martin not only like spending time together, but they also hang out with their significant others — Brad Falchuk and Dakota Johnson. “The adults are all very friendly,” a source told Us Weekly about their unique bond. “It’s not without effort and having to put feelings aside from time to time. They genuinely enjoy being together, and there’s a lot of love for one another on all sides.”

Despite the Coldplay singer, 42 — who shares two children: Apple, 15, and Moses, 13 with the Goop founder — calling it quits with Dakota, 30, in June, it seems like they are back on track in their relationship. Gwyn, 47, was the one “who pushed them to get back together,” a source previously told the outlet. “Gwyneth loves Dakota and vice versa. She really likes her and who she is as a person. [Gwyneth] cares deeply for him and wants him to be happy.”

So much so, the Iron Man alum recently wished the Fifty Shades of Grey actress a happy birthday on social media. “Happy 30th birthday to this absolute gem,” she captioned a black and white photo of the brunette beauty with a dog on Instagram on October 4.

While the ladies get along swimmingly, so do the Glee co-creator, 48, and the musician. “Brad and Chris have a lot of respect for each other, and they always get their creative juices flowing when they hang out,” the source added. “They get something from being together — they’re both very cool guys.”

In September, the mom of two detailed Chris and Brad’s bond and explained that they get along “because of conscious uncoupling.” She added, “Chris and I really thought we would love to do this in a way that we remain a family, even though we’re not a couple. People freaked out. They were like, ‘This is nuts. This is insane. We hate you,’” she told the crowd during the “Advertising Week: How Do You Stand Out From the Crowd?” panel about first using the term in 2014.

Gwyn and Chris called it quits in 2014 after 10 years of marriage. Since then, both Hollywood A-listers have moved on, but she frequently uploads photos of herself hanging out with Chris and Dakota. “Family structure can be reinvented, and divorce doesn’t have to be devastating,” she told the Evening Standard in January. “It doesn’t have to be the end of your relationship with somebody.”

This is one interesting dynamic for sure.
