Looking good, you two! Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton skipped the 2019 Country Music Association Awards red carpet on Wednesday, November 13, in Nashville for a very good reason. He confessed on Instagram that the duo was stuck in traffic. Luckily, they made it in time to catch the beginning of the show but had to forgo walking together.

The 43-year-old country star is nominated for Single of the Year and Song of the Year, so we hope the 50-year-old blonde beauty is his lucky charm for the night. His gorgeous girlfriend looked chic in a black dress with her hair tied up in a sleek top knot. The country crooner rocked a classic blue suit for the swanky event.

Hopefully, tardiness will be the only drama night for the duo since they will be in the same room as Blake’s ex Miranda Lambert. The former flames — who were together from 2006 to 2015 — have attended the same events in the past, so at this point, they’ve probably got it down.

Meanwhile, Blake and Gwen have had quite a week since they just attended the People’s Choice Awards on November 10. The “Hollaback Girl” crooner and the Oklahoma native looked like they were enjoying one another’s company at the star-studded event. “He looked so proud leading his lady around a busy ballroom — seconds before the show started,” an onlooker told In Touch exclusively. “The happy couple continued to dote on each other throughout the night. During a break, Gwen and Blake were whispering to each other. She was cracking up, he was nodding along.”

Later in the evening, the California native was given the Fashion Icon Award, and the handsome hunk was “eagerly applauding so proudly,” the eyewitness noted. Gwen couldn’t help but get all mushy about her beau on stage. “Blake Shelton, look! The Icon Award! I love you, Blake Shelton, you’re a babe,” she gushed. For his part, the Grammy nominee also took home a trophy for Best Country Artist and in his speech, he gave a sweet shout-out to Gwen on stage. “Gwen Stefani, I love the s—t out of you,” he said.

Even though the fashion designer was wearing a diamond ring on the red carpet, she cleared the air about those engagement rumors. “It might be a real ring, a real diamond, but it’s not a wedding ring,” she told E! News. “It actually doesn’t fit over the glove on this hand, so I put it on this hand. But good, right? When I have something to say, I’ll say it.”

We totally ship Gwen and Blake’s relationship!
