Giuliana and Bill Rancic have their plates full — literally. The couple just opened RPM Italian in Chicago and gave In Touch an exclusive look at the 10,000-square-foot restaurant. “We are going to be spending a lot of time here,” exclaims Bill, 40. “We are even going to be bartending!”
Giuliana and Bill joked that their past experience in the restaurant industry isn’t too impressive. “I tried to be a waitress for a week, but I was too clumsy and got caught eating in the back, so they demoted me to hostess,” confesses Giuliana, 36. “At 14, I was a dishwasher at an Irish pub,” adds Bill.
But times have changed. “We wanted to create a very chic and cool environment with good, authentic food,” says Bill, adding the pasta is made from scratch every morning. For more information on RPM Italian, which is named using the initials of the Rancics and their business partners — chef Doug Psaltis and the Melman siblings — check out In Touch, on stands now.
