One of Hollywood’s favorite couples has split up. Life & Style can confirm that Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have broken up after being together for three years.

“They’re done. They could get back together, but it’s over for now,” an insider told Us Weekly. While a second source said they’ve “tried hard to make it work,” Zayn still has “a lot of his own issues that she couldn’t help him get through.”

“Gigi wants to be in a happy and secure relationship like her sister Bella and The Weeknd, rather than having to deal with constant drama and Zayn’s mood swings,” a separate insider told Life & Style exclusively.

For a few months now, the “Pillowtalk” singer, 25, and the model, 23, have had many fans speculating on whether or not they’re together. The pair has shown plenty of signs through social media of no longer being an item — they haven’t posted pics together since mid-October, they seemingly didn’t spend the holidays together, Zayn unfollowed Gigi on Instagram (which is what he did during their last breakup in March 2018), and let’s not forget the cryptic messages Gigi sent when retweeting Kehlani: “i do not owe you myself. i do not owe you any information about me beyond what i choose for you to know. i do not owe you strength when i am weak. i do not owe you answers just because you ask.”

The two started dating in late 2015, not too long after Zayn had left One Direction and broke off his engagement with his fiancée at the time, Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards. On the other hand, before dating Zayn, Gigi was dating Joe Jonas. Ever since Gigi and Zayn got together, they’ve been inseparable with the exception of a brief split that lasted a few months. During that time, the two took to social media to confirm their relationship status, stating they did indeed break up but wished each other the best.

Let’s see if they take the same route this time around and publicly address their split or wait for it to blow over. Either way, we wish them both the best!
