High profile couple George Clooney and Amal Clooney know that their family’s safety should not be taken lightly. The Hollywood actor recently made an appearance on “The Hollywood Reporter‘s Awards Chatter” podcast, where he got extremely candid about his family’s safety as Amal gears up for a very big case against the terrorist group ISIS.

“Everything changes when you have two kids on how you have to protect them,” the 58-year-old shared on the podcast. “My wife is taking the first case against ISIS to court, so we have plenty of issues — real, proper security issues — that we have to deal with on a fairly daily basis.”

Amal, 41, is a high-powered human rights attorney. Last month, she asked the United Nations’ Security Council to bring charges against ISIS for rape and other acts of sexual violence in order to get justice for the survivors of those crimes. She argued that if the U.N. could not prevent such crimes, “then at least it must punish it,” according to the Associated Press. The council passed a German-drafted resolution with a 13-0 vote, and Amal will go on to bring charges against ISIS in French court.

While George is very supportive of Amal’s prosecution of ISIS, he went on to explain that they are not taking any chances with their safety. “We don’t really want our kids to be targets, so we have to pay attention to that,” he said.

George and Amal welcomed their twins — a son named Alexander and a daughter named Ella — in 2017. But the Catch-22 star admitted that there is a downside to raising children in the public eye.

“I miss some of that [anonymity]. My wife and I wanted to walk our kids in Central Park, and that’s just not possible,” he explained. “We tried, but we walk out the door and everybody surrounds them. And there’s a bounty on my kids’ head for a photo, so that’s something that we are very conscious of.”
