Here’s to a fresh start! Fergie and Josh Duhamel’s divorce has officially been finalized, two years after the former flames announced they were getting separated. According to new documents obtained by In Touch on Monday, November 25, the Black Eyed Peas singer and Love, Simon actor will be sharing joint physical and legal custody of their son, Axl.

The exes have waived their rights to spousal support and they have also both agreed to not pay each other child support for their 6-year-old, proving they have decided on quite an amicable arrangement in the wake of their split.

Back in July 2018, the “Big Girls Don’t Cry” songstress filed for divorce from Josh, 47, at a Pasadena courthouse. This news came several months after the dynamic duo revealed they had decided to part ways following eight years of marriage.

“With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year,” the pair said about their breakup in a statement, per Fergie’s rep. “To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public. We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family.”

Around that time, the chart-topping artist opened up to In Touch exclusively about how they were planning to coparent their son after calling it quits. “It’s a continuous seesaw, and we are just really trying to make it happen,” she said.

Fergie also mentioned how it was extremely tough for both her and Josh to adapt to all of the major life changes, but she said they were both trying their hardest to accept their new normal.

“It’s a transitional time, and there are real feelings there and they come up sometimes,” the former BEP singer told In Touch. “I’m a true believer in not holding your emotions in. Whatever it is — love, hurt, laughter. You have to get it out.”

Josh and Fergie previously tied the knot in 2009, having welcomed their first child together in August 2013.

Even though they are no longer together, it’s good to see them doing what is best for their family!
