Favorite Duggar Family Member? Here's What Counting On Fans Think

There are so many members of the Duggar family, that it can be hard to figure out which sibling is the fan-favorite. It looks like Counting On fans have some strong opinions on the matter, because people took to reddit to decide which Duggar reigns supreme once and for all.

“My favorite is probably Jana,” one user wrote. “She’s just so soft-spoken and nice, and she takes on the responsibility of all the other kids.” Another fan agreed. “My favorite is Jana also, she just seems like a genuinely nice person,” they explained. “Least favorite has to be Jessa, her bossiness irritates the hell out of me.” Oops, sorry, Jessa! But it looks like a few fans disagree and think Ben Seewald’s wife is the actually the coolest. “Favorite, Jessa,” another fan wrote. “I think [she] can turn her (unasked for) fame into an income for her family, snarky, but clearly not a pushover.”

In addition to Jessa and Jana, it looks like people also love Jinger Duggar. “Jessa used to be my fave, but at some point (probably the episode where some of the daughters volunteer at the coffee shop), I started to really like Jinger,” another shared. “Jinger is cute and funny and loves coffee.”

But what about Jill Duggar? She’s one of the oldest Duggar siblings and has always been in the spotlight. “I have a soft spot for Jill,” one user said. “I think we would be a lot alike if she had been raised by real parents and gone to college. I see her wanting things outside of fundie Christian life (a nose ring, to travel, a career in healthcare), but not really knowing how to grasp those things.” However, many fans took the opportunity to share that Jill’s husband, Derick Dillard, is their “least favorite” Duggar family member. “Can't believe I used to like the chap, and now it's as if he's had a personality transplant,” one person said, with another commenting, “Least favorite is Derick, because poor Jill."

Derick has gotten quite a lot of backlash following his controversial tweets about Nate & Jeremiah by Design stars, Nate Berkus and his husband, Jeremiah Brent. “What a travesty of family,” Derick called the couple. “It’s sad how blatant the liberal agenda is, such that it both highlights and celebrates a lifestyle so degrading to children on public television as if it should be normal.”

Of course, this wasn’t the first time the disgraced reality star shared his unwarranted opinions about members of the LGBTQ community. He was also in hot water after making transphobic comments about his fellow TLC star Jazz Jennings. "What an oxymoron… a 'reality' show which follows a non-reality," he wrote back in August. "'Transgender' is a myth. Gender is not fluid; it's ordained by God." He later claimed he had “nothing against” Jazz, but referred to her using the wrong pronoun.

However, fans think Jill recently hinted that she disagrees with her husband’s viewpoints on Instagram. "To disagree doesn't = hate, or judgement,” part of her statement read. “Love doesn’t always = approval.”
