Here we go again! Farrah Abraham is no stranger to controversy or being mom-shamed, but things got out of control on May 30 when her nine-year-old daughter Sophia posted a photo holding a wine glass. Fans were quick to question if the bubbly yellow liquid in the flute was alcohol, but Farrah made sure to confirm that it was, in fact, only sparkling apple juice. Regardless, fans who didn't do their research took to the comments to let the former Teen Mom OG star know exactly what they thought.

"I hope thats apple juice smh," said one fan. Another was less sure, writing, "I'm sorry is that champagne?" "I just hope that’s not actually alcohol, and just some kind of bubbly juice," said a third. However, Farrah cleared up any confusion in a previous post, which featured a waiter serving Sophia the "bubbly apple juice." "Look how special that is," says Farrah, as Sophia takes a sip and shows off her tongue. "They have some great sparkling juices here, with real gold in it!"

Sophia and Farrah are currently staying at the iconic Burj Al Arab Jumeirah hotel in Dubai, where the drinking age is 21. Sophia opted for the bubbly drink in a champagne glass during tea time, adding that she "loves her life." Despite the fact that she had a virgin drink, more fans worried about her ingesting gold, saying, "Is that safe lol omg." But don't worry, edible gold is "chemically inert," and won't harm you. “Most likely edible gold won’t be absorbed from the digestive system into the bloodstream, and therefore it will pass through the body and eliminated as waste,” dietician Cynthia Sass told Food and Wine. “But this may depend on the size, amount, and frequency consumed.”

Fans think that a possible, unlisted side effect of eating gold and travelling the world could be becoming a "spoiled brat." They worry that Farrah is teaching Sophia to value material items and approval from others too much. For example, according to the hotel menu, just one glass of the beverage will set you back almost $30 American dollars. But hey, at least she's having fun, right?
