“#Throwback to when Jill, Joy and I were pregnant together! Currently, there are four Duggar sisters/sisters-in-law [who] have shared expectant baby news!” the 30-year-old captioned the shot. “I wonder how many more new cousins will be announced before our little one arrives?!?! 🎊#littleduggars.”
It didn’t take long, however, for people to accuse Anna of being “insensitive.” One person wrote, “I feel like this is a bit of an insensitive post considering what Si and Lauren have gone through. Maybe it’s just me, but it feels a bit like adding salt in the wound.” Another agreed, writing, “I feel exactly the same. My heart breaks for them. It’s not enough that they had the miscarriage but now all these pregnancies on top of it! Definitely insensitive and definitely salt in the wound. They should have obtained out of respect.” A third chimed in, “That was my first thought, too.”
In February, Josiah Duggar, 22, and Lauren Swanson, 19, revealed they suffered a devastating miscarriage in October. “A couple months ago, we found out that we were expecting, but suddenly thereafter, we lost our baby,” Lauren revealed in a clip at the time.
Josiah added, “It really was a hard time for our family going through this right after we got married. And all the dreams of getting to see our little one and hold it in our hands dashed before our eyes.” The pair, who got married in June, wanted to tell their story because “nobody really talks about it,” Laur said. “We just wanted to let y’all know that you’re not alone.”
Since then, Amy Duggar, Kendra Caldwell and Joy-Anna, 21, have all announced they’re pregnant. Not to mention, Jessa Duggar and her husband, Ben Seewald, revealed they’re expecting back in January. Here’s hoping Jim Bob and Michelle‘s 17th grandchild will be from Josiah and Lauren.
