Want to Court a Duggar? Just Leave a Proposal in Their Instagram Comments

Fans have always been invested in which Duggars are courting, but lately we've noticed that it goes beyond that. If you scroll through the comments on the family's Instagram posts, you'll notice that fans aren't just asking who's starting to court, but asking if they can court family members themselves. Yep, they're hitting up the eligible Duggar family kids in the comments, and they're looking to make things official, even offering to drive out and meet up with their Counting On crush in person (kind of like Ben Seewald did, honestly).

And this is nothing new. Scroll back and you'll find that this has been happening for years. Even some of the now-married Duggar kids got their fare share of courtship offers before Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar announced that they were off the market. Up until this point, the family has mainly found other people to court and get hitched to from their church and fundamentalist circles. They've had connections to the Forsyths, Caldwells, and Swansons for a while — you can even catch some of the in-laws in the back of Instagrams or Counting On clips before things ever got romantic — but the community is small. We have to imagine that, at some point, there simply won't be enough eligible bachelors and bachelorettes to go around (unless two Duggars start marrying two different Seewalds or something, which seems, well, weird to put it lightly).

And hey, once pickings are starting to get slim within the communities that they know, fans might just have a chance after all. Just make sure to keep your courting requests appropriate (and your Instagram full of bible quotes) if you're actually trying to hit up Jedidiah Duggar. We can't imagine the conservative family is going to look particularly positively at any bikini pics, but show off your modest skirt collection and you might just have a shot. We'll be rooting for you! Check out the gallery below to see all the times fans have tried to start courting in the comments.
