It was supposed to be a cute photo of Scott Disick with his daughter, Penelope, but instead, fans took to Instagram to share their true feelings about the snap. On Jan. 3, the 35-year-old reality star posted a photo of himself having dinner with his 6-year-old daughter at an Asian restaurant, where she is seen lifting her eyelids. “Best date of 2019!” he captioned the photo.

Immediately, fans flooded the comment section, explaining how upset they were with the Lord. One wrote, “Very cute kid but teach her not to do the Chinese eye thing at a sushi restaurant. Don’t teach her to be a racist. Cause that’s what gonna happen,” while another echoed, “Your daughter’s behavior couldn’t be more inappropriate for an Asian restaurant. As her father, you should correct her.” One user was rather blunt, writing, “I’m Asian and that was racist.”

However, a lot of Scott’s followers stuck up for him and pointed out that his little girl was just making a funny face, like young kids do. One fan said, “I am Asian and I don’t see any racism in there. Let’s not use that term for every damn thing.”

Another reasoned, “Good Lord people, she’s being a kid. She’s making a silly face, pulling her eyes UP is NOT being racist. Quit looking for something to constantly b—h about. Not every single little thing kids/people do is meant to offend,” while another echoed, “Lol. Love it. She’s so friggin’ cute. Dates with our kids are the best. I love seeing these kinds of pics. Keep on being a good dad. That’s life right there.”

The KUWTK star shares Mason, 9, Penelope, and Reign, 4, with ex Kourtney Kardashian. Lately, Scott has been traveling the world with his girlfriend, Sofia Richie and the couple even joined the Kardashian-Jenner-West family in snowy Aspen for the holidays.

It’s refreshing to see Scott stepping up as a dad, so let’s hope that he continues to co-parent in 2019! And as for the haters, don’t listen to them.
