‘American Idol’ Alum Evelyn Cormier and Hubby David Announce Move to L.A.

Ready for a fresh start! American Idol alum Evelyn Cormier shared some exciting news with fans on September 26, revealing that she’s officially moving to Los Angeles with her husband, David Vázquez Zermeño. The reality star, who first rose to fame on the show 90 Day Fiancé, shared a video on Instagram explaining why they decided to take this big step.

“So hey guys … I’m just going for a walk around my neighborhood. I know that the past few days, even the past week, I’ve been teasing you and telling you guys that I’ve got some big announcement to share,” she began. “First of all, I just wanted to say thank you to everybody who has been following me and my journey … It’s been a crazy past two years.”

“We were on 90 Day Fiancé and then we were on American Idol,” Evelyn, 20, added. “You know bits and pieces and maybe some of you have already started to guess what this big surprise is … so anyway, David and I have decided that we think it’s best for both of us if we move to L.A. guys! My apartment here is empty,” she continued with a smile on her face. “Tomorrow morning, David is driving across country with all of our stuff in a car to Los Angeles, California.”

Evelyn noted how it’s the next step in her career and she couldn’t be more thrilled. “I’m going to be back and forth to the east coast a few times, the next few months, because I have shows, but I am flying out to L.A. to live there this Saturday!”

The songstress has certainly come a long way with her beau. Evelyn first sparked a connection with David online, and they soon started a long-distance relationship together, which was documented on 90DF. She later hopped on a flight to Spain to meet him in person and he ended up popping the question towards the end of their trip.

The lovebirds ultimately exchanged their vows on October 21, 2017, and have been living in Evelyn’s hometown of Claremont, New Hampshire, until now that is!

Fans also got to watch Evelyn try her luck on the hit singing competition American Idol. Even though she didn’t win, Evelyn impressed the judges and viewers so much that she advanced to the Top 14, and she’s clearly still booking gigs.

Now, they will be taking over Tinseltown!
