He may be a tough rapper, but Eminem is a big softie when it comes to his beautiful daughter Hailie Scott Mathers. While both of her parents struggled with drug addiction, drama, and tragedy, the 21-year-old is a driven college student, and was her high school valedictorian and homecoming queen! Seeing her as a mature, healthy adult is absolutely thrilling to Slim Shady.

“Eminem is really proud of Hailie, she’s the very best of him and Kim [Mathers],” an insider reportedly told Hollywood Life. “Hailie is smart, popular, motivated, kind, and really down-to-earth.” The rapper knows that he has problems, and often feared that the fighting between him and his ex-wife Kim would affect their daughter. Luckily, it sounds like he was able to shelter her from the bitterness, and she’s totally flourished.

“Eminem was determined that his daughter would be raised out of the spotlight, as the last thing he wanted was a ‘showbiz kid,’ and he really did a good job,” continued the source. “Considering the problems that both her mom and dad have had, she’s incredibly well balanced. Hailie is really committed to her studies, she works really hard, and she has a great head on her shoulders.”

Hailie has long been Eminem’s pride and joy, and a huge inspiration to him musically. He included his little girl in many songs over the years, from “Kim” to “97 Bonnie and Clyde,” to “Mockingbird,” but the most famous was probably “Hailie’s Song.” In the hit, he sings about how his daughter makes him feel like a better man, rapping “my baby girl keeps getting older, I watch her grow up with pride. People make jokes, ‘cause they don’t understand me, my insecurities could eat me alive. But then I see my baby, suddenly I’m not crazy, it all makes sense when I look into her eyes.” Perhaps there are still more songs to come!
