Elle Fanning Says She Went Paintballing With Angelina Jolie and Her Kids: ‘Oh, She’s Aggressive!’
Game on! Angelina Jolie doesn’t mess around when it comes to paintball, according to Elle Fanning. The 21-year-old spilled the tea on the actress, 44, and their fun day paintballing together in the latest issue of InStyle Magazine. Rumor has it — She’s really good!
“Oh, she’s aggressive,” Elle said of her Maleficent costar’s paintball game. “I had never gone paintballing before. We were in full-on armor. We were the only people in the place, with all of her kids.” As for Elle, she said she isn’t much of a pro. “She and I were not on the same team. I was so bad. I hit their security guard in the neck, and he was on my team! [laughs] Angelina’s really good.”
Elle shared that while on location for their film, Angelina often planned fun activities with her kids on the weekends. She said they got pretty close through their work together. “Now that I’m grown up, she sees me in a different way. We talked about different things.” She added she often takes notes from the seasoned actress. Angelina recently gave her some pointers when it comes to dealing with the press. “She said, ‘You know what? It’s OK not to answer things.’ I mean, I’m still learning.”
The brunette beauty is busy on her press tour for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and is jet setting all around the world. She’s walked the red carpet in L.A., Rome and Japan — so far. While in Asia, she had her oldest son, Maddox, 18, by her side. The college freshman is studying at Yonsei University in Incheon in South Korea but took a break from classes to support his mom. The two were spotted smiling and laughing all night.
Although Maddox has a great relationship with his mom, his bond with his father, Brad Pitt, is on the rocks. In a video exclusively obtained by In Touch, a cameraman asked the college freshman if his famous father would be visiting him at school. “Um, I don’t know about that … what’s happening,” he said. “Whatever happens, happens.” We love hearing how Angelina makes time for her kids and does lots of fun activities.
