If you want to be a part of the Duggar family (for whatever reason), be prepared to answer a lot of questions. Duggar fans managed to dig up a "pre-courtship questionnaire" that Jim Bob reportedly gives to a potential suitor and shared it on the Free Jinger forum. The 423-question list includes topics such as women, parenting, and homosexuality. Here are a few:

  1. Do you feel women have a voice and are encouraged to speak their opinion?
  2. When does corporal discipline begin?
  3. Have you ever been exposed to homosexuality? If so, explain the extent and the circumstances.

Um. What?

Naturally, people began commenting their opinions, and many agreed that it would be easy to fake an ideal response. "I imagine that an interested young man could easily ascertain just by the way the questions are worded what the 'correct' answers are." They added, "And there is a thing known as lying, an activity that can be done either in writing or in face-to-face conversation." Another agreed writing, "Absolutely. Anyone halfway smart with a taste of the right vocabulary would be able to pass with flying colors."

Recently, the famous family has gotten themselves into hot water regarding a few of these controversial topics. For starters, Michelle Duggar raised eyebrows after a video surfaced of the Counting On matriarch seemingly abusing her daughter, Jennifer. In the clip — which was taken by her son-in-law, Derick Dillard — she appeared to be scolding the 10-year-old, then changed her attitude once she realized she was being filmed.

Meanwhile, Derick has been receiving backlash for his homophobic comments. Last month, the 29-year-old took to Twitter to share his unwarranted opinions on Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent — the stars of TLC's hit show Nate & Jeremiah by Design. "What a travesty of family," he wrote on a promo for the home improvement show. "It's sad how blatant the liberal agenda is, such that it both highlights and celebrates a lifestyle so degrading to children on public television as if it should be normal." Ugh.

So if you want the oh-so-lovely Derick to be your brother-in-law and feel like answering miles of ridiculous questions, you might just land yourself a Duggar man — or woman! But seriously — is anyone else disturbed by this?
