Another Duggar Sex Scandal: Close Family Friend Charged With Criminal Sexual Conduct (EXCLUSIVE)

The Duggars have found themselves involved in yet another sex scandal, more than one year after In Touch revealed Josh Duggar was investigated for “forcibly fondling” his then-underaged sisters.

In Touch has since uncovered that Timothy Robertson — who is engaged to the Duggar’s live-in tutor, Tabitha Paine — was once convicted of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree after having non-consensual sex with a woman.

“That is something that happened in my past,” the 46-year-old told In Touch of his 2000 charge, insisting he was “falsely accused” of the crime.

When asked about the crime, his mother, Ruby Ann Robertson, told In Touch, “When these young people party and drink, they do silly, stupid stuff! A whole bunch of ‘em was drinking that day. They was drinking all day long and it was just a big mess.”

According to court documents obtained exclusively by In Touch, Timothy plead guilty. The charge read, “Timothy Allen Robertson did Horry County on or about Dec. 19, 1999, engage in sexual battery to wit; that the Defendant did penetrate the anus of [REDACTED] with his penis without her consent. Such sexual battery was accomplished under the following circumstances: that the Defendant did enter the bedroom of the Victim while she was laying face down on her bed, laid on top of her, removed her pants and forced his penis into her anus.”

After pleading guilty, Timothy received a three-year suspended sentence, was put on probation for a year, and was ordered to pay $943 in restitution. Then, in 2008, the South Carolina Board of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services pardoned him.

“[My past] has been cleaned,” he told In Touch. “I love my fiancée. And I think the Duggars are a fabulous family. That’s all I need to put out there.”
