It’s no secret that the Duggars have some of the strictest family rules — so much so, that even Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar‘s own kids slip up sometimes!

We know that Jinger Duggar has been making headlines since she decided to step out in shorts and pants since marrying Jeremy Vuolo, which goes against the girls’ “modest” dress code. Jer, however, admitted he doesn’t mind if that’s what she wants to wear.

From breaking courtship rules to premarital sex scandals and cheating, the TLC reality stars definitely know how to keep fans on their toes. They better be careful, though — because aside from having to deal with the wrath of their parents, they wouldn’t want to be involved in another high-profile scandal.

It was reported back in January that engaged couple Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth have already consummated their relationship — a BIG Duggar family no-no.

“Despite this ‘courting’ nonsense, Joy-Anna and Austin have actually been having sex together for a year!” a source told Radar Online.

This allegedly even led to a pregnancy scare, so she had to come clean to her parents.

"Of course, that alone is something the family has had to hide from the public," said the source, adding it was a "huge sigh of relief when she wasn't."

“That was obviously a huge sigh of relief for everyone concerned, but it didn’t erase the horror for Jim Bob and Michelle that they had come closer than close to having another family scandal on their hands!”

The Duggar family isn't allowed to visit the beach because while they keep themselves covered up in conservative bathing suits, not everyone else does — and Jim Bob and Michelle don't want those precious young minds to be tainted by impure thoughts.

However, they all took a beach trip together back in 2016, which was documented on the family blog.

This is yet another thing the Duggars typically disapprove of, but he might be the exception considering he is married into the family AND the ink is rumored to be a bible verse.

We've gotten quick glimpses at the ink on Jill & Jessa: Counting On, though most of the time he keeps it hidden under his shirt sleeve.

While their parents don't really believe in much privacy with a suitor before marriage (they're even copied on their kids' text messages and chaperone their dates) — Jessa admitted that she and Ben used to have their own little chats.

"The day Ben and I started courting, we began our tradition of calling each other on the phone every night! These were such special times. We would talk about everything from how our day went, to what we had been learning from our Bible reading, and then just anything else that we wanted to talk about. These calls were not 'chaperoned.' They were private — just between the two of us," she wrote in Growing Up Duggar.

The ill-fated incident took place when she went with her parents to pick him up at the airport.

"Bless their hearts, they just gave a big hug but I think intentions were to do a side hug," Michelle said at the time. "Needless to say, I'm sure they won't let that happen again."

The pair felt bad about it after, though Derick admitted that he "enjoyed it." Scandalous.

In Touch exclusively revealed that he did cheat with Danica Dillon and another unidentified porn star. Anna called the experience "heartbreaking," though they have since reconciled. Today, they are expecting their fifth child together.

It's been rumored that Josh's parents blamed his wife for his infidelity based on Michelle's controversial views on sex.

“Ladies, your husband can get his laundry done by other women, he can have his meal cooked by other women, he can have all kinds of things done for him by other women, but there’s only one woman who can meet that strong need he has that God put in him, and it's you. Only you, lady,” she once said during a marriage retreat.

However, since Jinger married Jeremy Vuolo in November, she's been bending the rules with pants and shorts — which her husband doesn't seem to mind!
